I have just gone to Vancouver in Canada to visit friends and write a couple of travel features before the Winter Olympi.jpgcs that will be held there in less than 6 months. My first impression though, was how perfect Vancouver is as a summer destination.

To quickly be able to grasp as much of the city as possible I borrowed a bike the first days. There are several park areas and bike lanes along the water and even when you have to bike on the streets the traffic is not too intimidating. The area that first catches a nature lovers eye is of course Stanley Park, the giant green peninsula surrounded by water on three sides.

The ride around it is about 12 km and takes you passed several beaches and sights. The most popular of the latter might be the Aquarium where lots of fish, dolphins, whales and tropi.jpgcal animals can be seen. Bikes can easily be rented in several places around the city.
