Visit Smaller Cities in the States – Travel Tip

Asheville is home to the largest privately owned home in America — George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore — which is 175,000 square feet and features over 250 rooms. Vanderbilt’s 8,000 acre estate includes the house, a priceless collection of works of art, expansive gardens, and a winery. During the “Gilded Age,” Biltmore was constructed as Vanderbilt’s luxurious summer retreat in the mountains. The stunning grounds were designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead — the same person responsible for designing both Central Park and Prospect Park in New York City.
Outside of the realm of Miami, the city of Asheville is home to one of the most impressive collections of Art Deco architecture you will find in the States.
