The icon of Rio
Christ the Redeemer – the famous statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is 130 feet tall and weights 700 tons. The staty is located at the peek of the Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city.
It was designed by a local engineer and sculptured by a French monument sculptor. But what´s really cool is that the stone used is taken from the city where we have our Swedish office, namely Malmö!
As of 7 July this year, Christ the Redeemer was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. A must see in other words if you´re going to Brazil.
