In Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur your will find 41 Berangan with an 11 room budget hotel that is making the most of the urban space crisis. Nine of 41 Berangan’s variously sized rooms are traditional styled, but two of the rooms – called courtyard rooms – are constructed from empty, 20-foot shippi.jpgng containers which forms a small courtyard in the empty lot outside the hotel. Each room has a garden view with an attached bathroom and all the other facilities enjoyed by the rest of the hotel occupants, which includes internet access, air conditioning, 24-hour reception and a continental breakfast.

In February they introduced beds of their own design that is based on recyclable paper pallets.
