Whenever you drive around in the rural parts of our beautiful country you will see a donkey, a cart being pulled by a donkey or a donkey being herded to some place. The reason for this is that the donkey cart is a regular type of rural transport in a lot of parts of South Africa.

If you have never taken a ride in a donkey cart you are really missing out, I know it is only fun because it isn’t our main form of transport but still, it is something different to experience and maybe to understand what the donkey cart riders must experience everyday.
