Relax in a Beautiful Villa in the heart of the Cape Winelands
On Saturday (31 Oct 09), I was lucky enough to stay over at The Villas at Le Franschhoek, in one of their stunning self catering Villas. I couldn't believe the peace and quiet, and the magnificent views of the Franschhoek mountain ranges.
Being
a wonderful Cape Town summer day, it was great to step in an air
conditioned Villa, complete with all the ammenities you would expect from a Five Star rated property.
There
are numerous activities that one can explore in and around the
Franschhoek valley, ranging from outdoors and adventure sports to leisurely wine tasting or walking around the interesting little shops in the town of Franschhoek.
Franschhoek
has a wondeful history dating back to 1688, when the French Hugenots
settled in the valley. I
strongly advise that anyone wanting a small pi.jpgece of heaven, to visit
this quaint little town, either for the day, or a romantic weekend. You
will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
