Maputo, the capi.jpgtal city of Mozambique, is known as a beach destination, a place to get away and relax. But it offers so much more than sand and sun to the visitor. 

Accommodations can be found for any budget – from five-star hotels to budget hostels and every type of accomodation in between. 

If museums are your thing, try the National Art Musueam, the Museum of the Revolution, and the Museu de Historia Natural. A great live music scene exists in the city. Shoppi.jpgng has something to offer for everyone, and the local cuisine is dynamic, a mix of international offerings such as Middle Eastern, African, Indian, Portugese, and Hispanic cuisines. 

Maputo of course does offer many beautiful beaches to visit. Perhaps stop by the Ponto d'Ouro, or the Catembe. Great scuba-diving spots await, particularly at Ponta D'Ouro and Ponto Malongane.  Campsites and chalet accommodations are even available right on the beach.
