Earth Hour
Earth Hour, a simple yet powerful concept. How does it work? A dedicated date and time is set and broadcast for people to take 1 hour out of their busy schedules to make a stand against climate change. All you have to do to participate is turn off your lights (and while you’re at it your geysers, pool pumps etc) for the stipulated hour.
Organised by the World Wildlife Fund in 2007, Earth Hour has gained increasing participation each year, making it the biggest worldwide environmental event.
This coming Saturday, 26 March at 8:30 pm, marks the date for this event for 2011. Be sure to take part this year… Turn off your lights, your TVs, your radios, all of it! It’s a perfect time for quality time – with your family, your friends, or even just your pets… Try it out, you’ll see, it’s quite fun!
Yours in concious living,
